Staff Packing List

  • 1 warm shirt or sweater (polar fleece or wool)
  • 6-8 T-shirts or other jersey shirts
  • 1 long-sleeve T-shirt
  • 2 swimsuits
  • 1 baseball cap or other hat with a brim for sun protection
  • 1 hooded raincoat or rain suit
  • (must be waterproof, not just water repellent)
  • 2 pairs sweatpants
  • 8 pairs underwear
  • 1 pairs long pants
  • 2 pair blue jeans
  • 5 pairs of modest shorts – at least 1 pair must be navy blue and 1 pair white or tan
  • 1 pair sports sandals, such as Tevas
  • 1 pair shower sandals (flip flops)
  • 1 pair sneakers (“trainers”) appropriate for tennis
  • 1 pair high-top sneakers if you will play basketball

These items are provided to international staff

  • 2 sets cot or twin-sized sheets
  • 2 or 3 pillow cases
  • 1 familiar, comfortable bed pillow
  • 3 blankets (polar fleece is lightweight and warm)

OR

  • 2 blankets and 1 durable sleeping bag rated for 50 degrees Fahrenheit (can be used as a comforter as well as for overnight trips)
  • 1 egg crate style mattress pad (optional)
  • 4 colored bath towels (try to find a recognizable style!)
  • 3 wash cloths
  • Mesh laundry bag

  • reading, things for you and for you to read to the cabin
  • flats or dressy sandals for socials
  • skirt and blouse or simple dress for socials and final banquet
  • spare batteries for CD player
  • sunglasses
  • small pack for days off
  • journal
  • camera and film and extra batteries
  • bank address if you want to deposit money by mail
  • anything interesting from your state or country that’s small and can be shared with campers and staff
  • addresses (email and snail mail) of family and friends
  • flashlight with batteries
  • original certifications (life guarding, CPR, etc.)
  • warm hat
  • sunscreen, bug spray, personal toiletries
  • medications in their original containers
  • 1 toilet kit with soap, toothpaste, toothbrush, deodorant, etc.
