What is included in Camp Waziyatah’s tuition?

Tuition covers all room and board, cabin supervision, activity instruction, art materials, laundry, standard day trips, and routine camp health center medical care.

  • Beyond tuition, there are two required fees for all campers: the $300 trips fee and the $50-$75 camp store fee.
  • Tuition does not include optional airport shuttles or specialized excursions like the whitewater rafting trip.
  • Unused camp store credit is non-refundable.

What are the payment and deposit terms for 2027?

Registration requires a $1,000 non-refundable deposit to hold a camper spot, with remaining fees split into equal monthly payments through June 1, 2027.

  • If you cancel, paid deposits roll over as credit toward future summer sessions.
  • All sessions are allocated strictly on a first-come, first-served basis.

How long are the summer sessions at Camp Waziyatah?

Camp Waziyatah offers flexible overnight session lengths of 2, 4, 6, or 8 full weeks for boys and girls aged 6 to 16.

  • 4-week sessions represent the standard core experience (Session 1: June 27–July 22 | Session 2: July 25–Aug 19).
  • 2-week sessions are introductory options available during the second half of the summer.
  • 6-week and 8-week campers can join the Changeover Trip ($595) between sessions for organized weekend excursions.

How do campers travel to camp and are travel fees extra?

Campers arrive by car, chartered motorcoach, or plane. Supervised airport shuttles and charter buses are booked separately from base tuition.

  • A private charter bus provides transportation from suburban Boston (Newton, MA).
  • Camp vans meet campers directly at gate arrivals at Portland (PWM) and Boston Logan (BOS) airports.
  • Staff provide continuous supervision for unaccompanied minors from gate pickup to camp arrival.

What age groups and leadership programs are available?

Wazi accepts campers ages 6 to 16, divided into age-appropriate divisions, alongside specialized teen leadership programs for older campers.

  • Younger divisions (ages 6–9) receive higher counselor-to-camper supervision and structured routines.
  • Rising 11th graders can enroll in 4-week Counselor-in-Training (CIT) or Junior Counselor leadership tracks. Following successful completion of the CIT program, teens entering 12th grade are eligible to be invited back as Junior Counselors.
  • All programs combine age-group cabin living with personalized daily activity choices.
